The UGREEN DXP4800 Plus is my main NAS, and I was one of the first to grab it during its launch. When it first came out in May, there were some system bugs and many features were not fully developed. In terms of performance: The processing power of the Pentium 8505 is four times that of the Celeron N5105, and its graphics performance is more than double. For a home NAS, this level of performance is already top-notch! It also comes with 1 10GbE network port, 1 2.5GbE network port, an HDMI interface, and an SD card slot. It’s truly loaded!
For data security, the UGREEN DXP4800 Plus adopts the new UGOS Pro system, with its underlying layer replaced by the new Debian 12, which is renowned for its stability and security. With long-term version and software updates, it has always been used as a quasi-system for operation and maintenance personnel and as a server system. Its security is unquestionable. Moreover, the new system offers RAID1, RAID5, RAID6, RAID10 arrays, as well as multiple backups for local NAS and cloud storage. Data security is absolutely not a concern.
For external network access, UGREEN does it best. Even without a public IP address, you can access it at full speed. With a public IP address, it’s even better, and it also supports DDNS.
For home entertainment, backing up photos is a breeze, and it perfectly supports backing up live photos. PT downloads, BT downloads, music, and movies are all readily available, allowing you to watch them anytime and anywhere.
Moreover, the biggest advantage of UGREEN is that its system is both professional and simple. Achieving both conditions simultaneously is truly unparalleled. Even a new NAS user, especially an elderly one, can use it effortlessly and even explore its advanced features!
