The Geely Xingyuan has been launched with a guide price ranging from 69,800 to 98,800.
310 Version: 69,800 & 77,800
410 Version: 82,800, 88,800 & 98,800

Sharing my personal opinion: It has little impact on the low-end BYD Seagull but quite a bit of influence on the Dolphin.
The low-end BYD Seagull has a guide price of 69,800, but in reality, dealerships can offer a discount of up to 10,000 yuan, making the bare car available at 59,800 yuan. Since the Xingyuan is newly launched and cannot provide discounts yet, with this 10,000 yuan price difference, the low-end Xingyuan poses no immediate threat to the low-end Seagull.
However, it’s different for the Dolphin. The lowest-end 420 Dolphin has a guide price of 99,800 yuan. Although there are significant discounts offline, compared to the Xingyuan priced at 82,800 yuan, despite the Dolphin having slightly higher configurations, it loses its pricing advantage.

Furthermore, the Xingyuan’s design language aligns well with female aesthetics, so replacing the Dolphin, which hasn’t undergone significant exterior changes in several years, as the next popular female commuting vehicle should be achievable.
Conclusion: For the Seagull, which is geared towards rigid commuting needs, due to the price difference, the impact is minimal. For the Dolphin, which has a similar size and positioning, the impact is significant due to the price difference.

I estimate that BYD will need to embark on a major overhaul of the Dolphin rather than just a simple facelift.
